After reporting the incident to my insurance company and the police, the registered owner of the van was located and took financial responsibility for the damage the driver caused in the incident described above. Not exactly a pleasant experience, but thanks to the Good Samaritan, at least I was made whole for the damage and a bit of my faith in basic human decency was restored.

A driver associated with a mini van with the corresponding LPN was seen making an illegal U-Turn before smashing into my parked car this morning on the 500 block of Pierce Street in Albany, Calif. The person caused damage to both cars, presumably more to mine, and decided to just carry on with his merry day, according to a Good Samaritan's letter.
