What's up with this old man? After a light turned green he swung to the right as if he went around someone even though there was nothing there. A couple yards later, he started driving in the oncoming lane for 10 good seconds.

You don't give the age, but the "old man" cannot see where he is going, and probably doesn't know where he's going or how he's going to get there.

It helps me imagine when super-old-people drive and do something bad, I think thoughts like: you ain't got much time left anyway - whatever, or what if that was my parents. :D
