Update: I got a message from a woman who said the same couple pulled up to her thrift store this morning and tried to take multiple metal shelves that were sitting outside the front of her store. She saw them putting them in the back of their truck and told them they were not for sale and they could not take them. They claimed they weren't stealing (the exact same phrase they told us this morning) and would put them back. As they started she had to run inside and by the time she came back out they were gone and so were the shelves. Luckily she saw my post and is able to file a full police report. The shelves are obviously in the bed of the truck and she recognized them immediately. Thank you to everyone who has shared, it really does help!
