Hit & Run driver who lives in in Riverside, CA. Owns a mid-2000s gold Ford Explorer. He hit two cars on my street @2:15 am on Friday, April 29, 2016 (one of them brand new), and he took off without leaving a note (asswipe was probably drunk). My neighbor gave chase for several miles until loosing him in a nearby residential block.
Gave the plate number to the cops who said they would investigate, but I had my own ideas, and actually found his Explorer in a Google Maps image in his neighborhood. I drove over to confirm the plate matched from Friday and sure enough it matched! I took plenty of pics of both the accident and his truck and will be giving it to my insurance agent in the morning.
BTW, I observed the same jerk lurking around after dark on Saturday to survey the damage he caused the prior evening. Not much I could do, but I did take note as a "return to the scene of the crime" cliche.
