If the manager and/or owner of the restaurant wanted it removed, they would have done so themselves or asked Andy to take it. The guy had no right to take it since it wasn't his property or on his property.

That's not even a close analogy. A parking lot is made for parking cars, and the assumption is the car is locked, so yes it would be theft because of forced entry. Even if it was unlocked but the car was parked there legally during business hours and not in violation of any posted signs, then yes it is stolen.
But your illogical "common sense" logic puts a small speaker that was illegally placed by the food order station on private property is the same as a car parked legally in a parking lot that is for the purpose of parking cars. That area where Andy put his speaker is not meant for anyone to put anything there. If you put a car in that same spot, would it not get towed? Would you be at fault? Yes you would! Now THAT is common sense!
