This driver was in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on October 28, 2016 and was about to get into I-24 Westbound from South Church Street southbound. He had a yield sign, but expected me to move over to my left even though I had a car next to me. He ended up taking the shoulder of the on ramp and once he got into the Interstate, he passed me and three his side cup into the front of my pick-up.
This guy was driving up shoulder during a major traffic jam and cut in behind me, which was annoying, but not concerning. A fire truck was coming through so the two lanes split and this guy tried to ride WITH the fire truck to get ahead of people, almost hitting me as I went back into the lane. I honked my horn, he got back behind me and proceeded to hang out the window yelling and flipping me off. I was moving no faster than 5mph in this jam so he speeds up into the shoulder directly next to me, hitting my window, and telling me to pull over (I assume to fight him or something ridiculous).
After we passed the accident, he sped up and cut into my lane causing me to veer into the shoulder and hit the brakes the proceeded to brake check me going under the speed limit. I called 911 and gave his plates, description, etc, but once we got on the highway, he flipped me off a few more times and took off.
Passenger tossed a McDonald's bag out of the window on the road. Then got into the exit lane twice and realized it was not their exit and cut cars off to get off of the exit, one of the cars was my own during these unsafe lane changes. We happened to be getting off on the same exit and I pass them and noticed they did not have their headlights on. The date is Oct. 7th and any residence knows it rained all day. Everyone has their windshield wipers on and headlights on. In North Carolina it is illegal to run your windshield wipers and not have your headlights on. Don't know what the law is in Virginia, BUT THIS IS NC!
The vehicle with the Virginia plate # VKP-4904 belongs to the company Securitas Inc. The driver of this vehicle hit my car bumper on Broad and 14th. The driver did not want to go through the insurance or call the police. He said it's a minor scratch don't worry about. Then he got in his vehicle and drove off. I contacted the company branch manger and told him what happened. He claims that that the vehicle does not belong to his branch and his branch does not operate that type of vehicle. He asked me to report to the police or my insurance to get info on the plate it registered to.
When you are approaching 'a merge' onto an entrance ramp, you YIELD! You yield whether you are entering the highway OR staying on the ramp to exit again!
