I notice it everyday here in Kalifornia. I walk at lunch along a 45 mph street with polarized sunglasses- A consequence is that I can see oncoming drivers' faces through windshield glare and almost half the time, they're looking down!

I estimate their speed was in excess of 90. I'm always suspicious of mainstream sedans with illegally dark tinted windows, particularly vehicles commonly purchased used by subprime clientele. These are commonly Impalas, Altimas, just about any Chrysler/ Dodge sedan that could be rented. They're commonly seen speeding midday on the I-5 N and S. I think many of them may be drug runners.

I don't know if you've ever driven a Focus with an automatic- (the more recent models with the double-clutch automatic). It's enough to make you want to torture the car it's that bad with it's continual hunting for the right gear, laggy downshifts, etc..
